Billing vs. Data Cycle Dates

Understanding this distinction helps you track your data usage and anticipate your billing statements

Billing Cycle Date:

Your billing cycle date is based on the day you placed your initial order. This date marks the start of your 30-day billing period. Your next billing cycle begins on the [Insert Date Here - e.g., 15th of the month]. You will be billed on or around this date every month.

Data Cycle Date:

Your data cycle date, on the other hand, resets on the 1st of every month. This means your data allowance is refreshed on the first day of each month, regardless of your billing cycle date.

Key Differences Explained:

  • Billing Cycle: Tied to your initial order date and recurs every 30 days. This is when you are billed for your service.
  • Data Cycle: Resets on the 1st of every month. This is when your data allowance is replenished.

Example:

Let's say your billing cycle starts on the 15th of the month.

  • On the 1st of the month, your data cycle resets, and you receive your full data allowance.
  • On the 15th of the month, your billing cycle begins, and you are billed for the previous 30 days of service.
  • On the 1st of the following month, your data cycle resets again, even though your next billing cycle hasn't started yet.
